Juan Jose Hernandez started his career as a dancer
with the department of tourism's dance group from the state of Jalisco. He danced with them for 15 years, having
toured Japan, Cuba and other cities in the United States.
Afterwards, he became the dance instructor for the
Ballet Folklorico del Banco Internacional of Jalisco.
Later, he became the dance instructor for the employees
at the Oxxo commercial chains.
In 1997, he arrived in the United States, where with
much effort, he formed his own group, now known as the Ballet Folklorico Mexico Vivo.
